GDPR Compliance
Your rights under EU Regulation 2016/679, and how to use them with us.
PITV4K handles personal data in line with the General Data Protection Regulation. This page covers the parts specific to GDPR; our general privacy policy describes our practices as a whole.
01 Who is responsible
PITV4K is the data controller for information collected through this website and the subscription service. Every request described below should go to contact@pitv4k.com.
02 Categories of data
- Identity — the name you sign up with.
- Contact — email address, and a phone number if you choose to give one.
- Financial — the payment reference and confirmation returned by our payment provider. Full card numbers are never sent to us.
- Technical — IP address, browser and version, device type, time zone.
- Usage — which pages you visit and basic connection logs from the streaming service.
- Communications — the content of your emails and chat conversations with support.
03 Our lawful bases
- Performance of a contract — most processing exists because you bought a subscription and we have to deliver it.
- Legitimate interests — fraud prevention, network security, and improving the service, weighed against your rights.
- Legal obligation — tax, accounting and any lawful order we must comply with.
- Consent — anything optional, such as marketing email, which you can withdraw at any time.
04 The rights you hold
- Access — get confirmation of what we hold about you and a copy of it.
- Rectification — have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected.
- Erasure — have your data deleted where we no longer have a compelling reason to keep it.
- Restriction — have us pause processing while a dispute or accuracy question is resolved.
- Portability — receive the data you gave us in a structured, machine-readable file.
- Objection — object to processing we base on legitimate interests, and to direct marketing at any time.
- Automated decisions — not be subject to a decision made purely by automated means that significantly affects you. We do not make such decisions.
- Withdrawal of consent — withdraw consent whenever you like, without affecting what was lawful beforehand.
05 Making a request
Email us and say which right you are exercising. We reply within 30 days, and free of charge unless a request is repetitive or clearly unfounded. We may first ask you to confirm your identity — that check protects your data, not ours.
06 Transfers outside the EEA
Some of our suppliers operate outside the European Economic Area. Where data leaves the EEA we rely on an adequacy decision or on Standard Contractual Clauses, so the protection travels with it.
07 Retention
We keep personal data only as long as the purpose requires. Subscription and billing records are held for the life of the account plus the period required for accounting and dispute resolution; technical logs are kept briefly and then discarded.
08 Cookies
The site sets a small number of cookies for functionality and aggregate traffic measurement. You can refuse or delete them through your browser; some features may then behave differently.
09 Complaints
If you think we have mishandled your data, please raise it with us first — most issues are a misunderstanding we can clear up quickly. You also have the right to complain to the supervisory authority in the EU or UK country where you live.
10 Updates
This notice is reviewed periodically. Material changes are announced on the site and, where they affect you directly, by email.
